Here are the answers to some of the frequently asked questions. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.
Can I enter a script which I've already written but hasn't been sent anywhere? Yes. The only thing we ask is that your work hasn’t been produced
When is the deadline?
We will stop accepting scripts at 12 midnight on the 19th July 2006.
When will I know if I've won?
All entrants will be contacted in mid-August.
Is there a cash prize for the overall winner? Yes. The ten winners will all compete for prizes at the I-blink film festival in January 2007. The overall winner will get €5000, 2nd prize is €2000 and third prize is €1000.
What kind of support will I receive if my script is one of the ten short-listed? We will provide all the equipment you will need to make your film including the loan of an edit suite, a camera, tripod and other accessories. We will then put you on an aeroplane to Pinewood Studios for two days training with Avid. If needed we will also help you remotely by giving advice as well as putting you in touch with people who can help you.
Will I receive feedback on my script even if it doesn’t make it to the top 10? Yes. Every script will be marked against a checklist and given comments for improvement. The top twenty scripts will receive very thorough feedback.
What is the registration fee?
£35 pounds sterling or its equivalent.
What do I get for my registration fee? Feedback on your script from a professional script-reader; access to parts of the competition website which are for entrants only, which include access to online training; as well as some free e-tickets to the film festival.

How do I pay the registration fee? The entry page will take you through this, using our secure online payment system.
Why is there a fee for this competition? Although our sponsors have been very generous, this does not cover all the costs of delivering this competition. This fee will go towards the administration.
What criteria will you be using for marking the scripts? If you go to the advice page you can download a number of helpful items, including the actual checklist that the readers will be using when evaluating your script.
